Answer: No, this battery has additional thickness.
Question: Is this battery door the same size as the OEM extended battery door from HTC for the Thunderbolt?
Answer: Yes. The Thunderbolt Monaco extended battery door is indeed the same size as the original, and also sports the same internal contact points. The battery however on the original is only 2750 mAh while this Monaco extended battery is 3500 mAh.
Question: Does this battery have memory? ie... if you charge it overnight when it still has a charge will the battery lose life?
Answer: Charging the phone overnight will not cause for the battery to lose it's life in the long run.
Question: Will using the battery prevent you from using a carry case at all? What is the standy by time and talk time?
Answer: Talk and standby times vary depending on use. However usually when using an extended battery to this size you can expect a doubling of those times. Using this battery will not make all cases incompatible, just the ones made specifically for the phone.

Comment: This is the best must have HTC Thunderbolt accessory. I couldn’t use my HTC Thunderbolt without this battery. I tend to use my phone a bit more than the average user and could not get past about 4 to 5 hours in an average day with the standard battery. When I first got my HTC Thunderbolt I would always carry with me a fully charged spare, then I lost the charged spare and was in a bind. After that debacle I decided I would try an extended battery and heard the Monaco batteries were top notch, so I gave em’ a shot. Best extended battery ever! I can now get more than 10 hours out of my HTC Thunderbolt and in low use days even more. It does add a bit more size to my Thunderbolt but I would rather be able to stay connected all day long then worry about size.

Comment: Even if it makes the phone look pregnant it's WAY better than running out of battery life after four hours or less with just moderate usage. The original battery this one replaced is a joke! My aftermarket case still fits the phone with the extended battery door, too.
