Answer: A: This is one of the best purposes for this cradle, amongst others. But no, this cradle is designed to stop charging once the battery reaches its peak. A small LED indicator on the back near the battery port will let you know when your battery is done charging.

Comment: I purchased two of these units and one would not work due to the AC/DC adapter being bad. But wirelessground.com sent out a replacement. These things enable a feature I didn't know was available; when on AC it turns the clock display to landscape and you can dim the display for bedside and it shows the weather forecast and other things. If you are docking to your pc you can have it play your music or view a slide show. It does a fine job charging a spare battery even from the DC power.
